Mobile Lead Developer (iOS & Android | AR | Indoor Navigation)

Amsterdam | Hybrid | High technical ownership

At eZwayZ (easy ways), we believe accessibility is the foundation of an inclusive society. You’ll work on eZwayZ, our award-winning SaaS indoor navigation platform. Developed together with the visually impaired community, eZwayZ empowers people to independently navigate complex indoor environments such as stations, hospitals and offices.

AR is the core interface AI and computer vision power the spatial understanding underneath.

This is one of the hardest AR problems out there we solve:

  • Uncontrolled indoor & outdoor environments

  • Real-time guidance on a phone

  • Tight performance, latency, and battery constraints

  • UX built around audio & haptics, and supporting visuals

Why this matters: When AR gets this right, it stops being entertainment — and becomes independence, safety, and confidence for real people. If it fails, someone can get lost. If it works, someone gains freedom.

The Role

As a Mobile Tech Lead, you lead our hybrid (nearshore) development team across native iOS and Android, frontend, backend and UX, while remaining hands-on for approximately 35–40% of your time. You are responsible for architecture, delivery, code quality and technical leadership, reporting directly to the CTO. You play a key role in delivering our roadmap and scaling the platform.

You will create technology with a real social impact.

What you’ll do

  • Act as the technical bridge between the product owner and the development team

  • Lead development sprints, roadmap milestones and backlog (epics & issues)

  • Architect and contribute to our SaaS platform and native iOS & Android apps

  • Ensure high standards for code quality, testing, documentation and reviews

  • Manage releases, version updates and bug tracking

  • Secure, structure and monitor codebases in GitLab

  • Build POCs and pilots for new features and technologies

  • Motivate and coach the team by leading from both a technical and cultural perspective

About you

Proven experience as a Lead Developer or Tech Lead in a multidisciplinary team

  • Strong mobile background, preferably with AR-, GPS- or navigation-based apps

  • Comfortable combining architectural oversight with hands-on development

  • UX-minded, empathetic and driven by social impact

  • Curious about and experienced with innovative technologies such as AR, AI, Digital Twins and point clouds

  • Analytical, decisive and communicative

  • Fluent in English and Dutch
